100% Fiano from Southern Italy
Fruity dry white wine from southern Italy with the scent of flowers and green apple. The soft, slightly spicy and juicy taste combines very well with fresh salads. Also delicious as an aperitif.
Pasquale Clemente and his bio wines
Masseria Frattasi is a small wine estate in the hinterland of Naples in Campania. Owner Pasquale Clemente biodynamically cultivates autochthonous grape varieties in the high-altitude vineyards.
The region around the town of Benevento has calcareous and volcanic soil. In combination with the coolness in the vineyards, this ensures wonderfully fresh wines despite the southern Italian origin. A good example is this fiano in the village of Avellino, which has become known as an ancient quality grape. The vineyards are located at an altitude of about 380 meters and the grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September.
The yield of the vines is low, so that only about 4,000 bottles can be produced annually. Not nearly enough to satisfy all Clemente customers! But this year we managed to purchase this unique wine a little more widely.
