Tasting note Juris Burgenland Pinot Noir
Description
Lovers of refined pinot noir have more and more options. Burgundy's monopoly on good pinot noir is rapidly disappearing in favor of, for example, German wine regions. But Austria also has strong assets. Axel and Helga Stiegelmar from the Juris winery prove this with their pinot noir. They produce a thoroughly refined red wine on the northeastern shore of Lake Neusiedlersee. The climate appears to be very suitable here to achieve optimum maturity while retaining the necessary freshness.
After fermentation, maturation of several months follows on large wooden casks. Because of the fineness of the wine, this is done very dosed. Partly because of this, the Juris selection is an excellent and exemplary pinot noir with the recognizable fresh cherry fruit. Juris is a member of the exclusive Renommierte Weingüter Burgenland group of only 15 members.
