Seductive, 'fatty' white burgundy.
|EAN:||Domaine La Soufrandise Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes|
Dry French white wine with the smell of ripe yellow fruit butter and oak. The full taste combines very well with fish and fine veal or pork with full sauce. Also nice to drink.
Pouilly-Fuissé is the most prestigious southern Burgundy municipality for white wine. Françoise and Nicolas Melin produce fine wines from more than 40-year-old chardonnay vines in their small wine estate. This plot is situated on a hill and almost directly opposite the cellar entrance.
The manually picked grapes are gently pressed and the juice fermented by natural yeast and temperature controlled. After fermentation, a ripening period of about 12 months follows small oak casks. This quality Pouilly-Fuissé is according to experts to the top of southern Burgundy and has a good ripening potential.
