Tasting notes Cour des Dames Marsanne

Fragrant dry white wine from France made from marsanne grapes with an aroma of yellow fruit and flowers. The taste is juicy and balanced: tasty as an aperitif or with fish.

Description

Laurent Delaunay responsible for the La Cour des Dames wines comes from a family with a long history in Burgundy. After training in oenology and work experience in California, he established himself in 1995 as an independent winemaker in France near Nuits-Saint Georges. In addition to specializing in high Burgundies, he soon concentrated on the selection of high-quality wines in the South of France.

The Languedoc is very suitable for the planting of the exclusive marsanne grape variety that is still little seen outside the northern Rhône (including Saint Péray Saint Joseph and Hermitage). Marsanne stands out for its full flavor and character. Badet Clément makes a nice wine and adds more variety in this price range.

Piquant detail: the name La Tour des Dames has been transferred to La Cour des Dames since the 2014 harvest because the famous Château Latour in Bordeaux (!) Objected to the use of the old name.
