Dry white wine from Italy with a refined aroma of oak and almond. The taste is full and aromatic: a meal wine par excellence! Especially delicious with feathered game or spiced fish.
Description
The beautiful white wine from the vernaccia grape is highly regarded by Italian gastronomes. It is not for nothing that Vernaccia di San Gimignano is one of the few white wines with a DOCG status; the highest Italian quality category. Panizzi is also considered one of the best producers in the region: he makes a great white wine from the grapes from his small Santa Margherita vineyard.
After a gentle pressing of the grapes, the wine ferments in small oak casks followed by a maturation of about five months in the same barrels. The style of the wine is therefore comparable to that of complex white burgundy and fits gastronomically with full-bodied dishes. This wine is worth exploring and has good aging potential.
