A Pouilly-Fuissé not to be forgotten

Dry French white wine with the scent of ripe yellow fruit, butter and oak. The full flavor combines very well with fish and fine veal or pork with full sauce. Also nice to drink straight away.

Francoise & Nicolas Melin

Françoise and Nicolas Melin make beautiful pouilly-fuissé on their small wine estate from grapes from chardonnay vines that are more than forty years old.

The plots are located on a hill and almost directly opposite the cellar entrance. The grapes ripen beautifully here and give a rich style of white wine. You will recognize this when you taste the 'vieilles vignes'.

This wine matures for about twelve months in small oak barrels, resulting in a full 'buttery' white Burgundy with a lot of flavor concentration.

The domaine uses traditional methods, such as manual picking and limited production. In our opinion, this quality pouilly-fuissé belongs to the top of southern Burgundy and has good maturing potential, but can also be drunk very well young.
