|Beautiful, pure organic wine with flavor concentration|
|From Pierre Bories, one of the best winemakers of the Corbières|
|Beautiful as an aperitif, with quiche with salmon or baked fish|
Subtle full creamy white wine
From beautiful Corbiere
The rugged Corbières is not so suitable for mass production. The better producers know this and limit themselves to the naturally low yields in the vineyard. They have been attracting attention for years with fantastic, characteristic wines.
Pierre Bories is one of them. He even makes a beautiful white wine in this hilly wine region. For this, Pierre harvests only 40 hectoliters per hectare, which is very little for white grapes.
The Roussanne and Marsanne provide a concentration of flavor and typicity reminiscent of beautiful white Rhône wines. The grenache and macabeu grapes in turn give the delicious freshness and aromatic expression.
All in all, it makes for a mouth-filling, powerful white wine that combines well with all kinds of (fish) dishes and is not to be missed as an aperitif with some tasty amuse-bouche.
Languedoc expression at its best
Connoisseurs have known it for a long time. The undiscovered top producers in the Languedoc provide fantastic wines for a very acceptable price. Like this delicious and distinctive wine from Corbières. What makes this wine so good? The combination of a limited production, a great deal of attention to the vineyard and of course the expertise of the winemaker. The difference with mass producers could not be greater.
|Grape variety:||Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache, Macabeo|
|Taste:||elegant & sophisticated|
|Wood maturation:||No wood aging|
|What do we think?:||Jerry: Lemon yellow colored wine with a subtle scent of apricot, mandarin and green herbs. The taste is full and creamy with ripe yellow fruit and mild acidity. Light toast and fine bitters in the lingering finish.|
