Château Puech-Haut Languedoc Argali Rosé
Fresh and delicate nose with aromas of white peaches and lychees, alongside a hint of flowers and minerals. Sparkling, firm rosé with plenty of body and depth and a delicate fruity finish.
This exceptional rosé is embraced by international wine journalists. Renowned wine journalist (formerly of Robert Parker) Jeb Dunnuck has been a fan for years and recently even awarded it 90 points. Exceptionally high for a rosé!
A Prestige from the Languedoc
Owner Gerard Bru is a self-made man. He became wealthy after selling a company and invested this fortune in a piece of land northwest of Montpellier. Apart from a few olive trees, there was nothing else there. Not a single vine to be seen, in any case.
Not yet an AOC, but Gerard had complete confidence in this terroir with its clay and slate soils. From that moment on, Chateau Haut Puech grew into a prestigious estate with just 187 hectares of vineyards. They produce 10 different red wines, 2 white wines, and 3 rosé wines, distributed across the Coteaux du Languedoc, Pic Saint Loup, and Saint Drezery regions.
Olives and truffles
In addition to wine, Gerard has always left room for the olive trees he found on the land as he purchased it. The old trees still occupy 15 hectares. The olives are still harvested and transformed into limited-edition olive oil. This is only available in the shop on the estate.
Another unique feature on the estate at Chateau Puech Haut: truffles can be found! Another piece of land of approximately 15 hectares is filled with old oak trees. On this land, black gold can be found: the black truffle!
