Argentina is a wine country in development. It is only since the nineties that exports have started (mainly by migrated Spaniards and Italians) and after many years of crisis investments have recently been made in the vineyards and cellars.
From a wine-technical point of view, Argentina is very interesting due to the high location of the vineyards at the foot of the Andes mountain range. The high location ensures cold nights, giving the red wines a lot of taste and color. The white wines retain a lot of aromas due to the cool nights. Mendoza is the area where the great wines from Argentina come from.
