Description
The name Manincor means "hand on heart," and that's precisely how Count and Countess (Contessa) Michael and Sophie Goëss-Enzenberg operate at this unique winery. The couple are fervent supporters of biodynamics and pay particular attention to their work in the vineyards. They also take meticulous care in the cellar, and you can taste that in their impressive, flawless wines.

Take, for example, this magnificent Réserve della Contessa, an original blend of Weissburgunder, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Two-thirds of the grapes are harvested in the warmer Lieben Aich vineyard in Terlan, characterized by sandy soil. One-third is picked in the cooler Campan vineyard in Kaltern, where the soil is a mix of loam and limestone.

This combination of grapes from different microclimates and terroirs creates layers and a beautiful balance between freshness and ripeness in the final wine. Once harvested, the grapes ferment with their own yeasts in oak barrels. The wine then matures for another nine months in contact with the settled yeasts, adding volume and depth to the flavor.

The result is a beautifully pure white wine with notes of ripe apple, peach, and a hint of green herbs. The flavor is both juicy and refreshing, yet mild and rich, making it particularly suitable for the table. Pair it with poached fish, white meat dishes, or creamy, soft cheeses. Enjoy it in style!
