Description

For many wine lovers, Limoux is the French alternative to Burgundy. The cool, high-altitude vineyards in the foothills of the Pyrenees have a long growing season, allowing the grapes to ripen evenly, retain their freshness, and develop abundant aromas.

It was therefore a logical step for Burgundy winemaker Laurent Delaunay to invest in one of the top terroirs of the area.

The organically grown Chardonnay is hand-picked and crafted as a high-quality Côte de Beaune. The oak influence is refined by fermenting and aging a portion in 500-liter barrels aged between two and five years. The wine then rests for an additional eight months on the lees for added complexity.

This is a particularly fine Chardonnay, which, with its wonderful balance of freshness, structure and length of flavour, is very similar to a refined white Burgundy.
