Description
Stefan Winter is a white winemaker through and through. This is evident from this Blanc de Noir, as he makes a beautiful white wine even from his red Spätburgunder grapes!
How do you make white wine from a blue grape? Simple. Wine gets its color from contact with the grape skin, where the pigments are located. The less contact with the skin, the less color the final wine will have.
To produce this white Spätburgunder, Stefan therefore uses exclusively the first part of the pressing. This juice has barely, if at all, come into contact with the skins and is consequently virtually colorless, just like a white wine. Fermentation and a short aging period take place in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine is bottled.
It produces a delicious, surprising white wine. Juicy, mild, and fresh, with flavors of ripe apple and stone fruit and just a little more body than an average white wine. Like all Winters wines, it is crystal clear, refined, and super seductive. Original as an aperitif, but also delicious with various dishes. Highly recommended!
Drinks with
Perfectly suitable as an aperitif, or to drink with light fish dishes and shellfish salads.
Tasting note
Original white wine with a refined aroma of peach, ripe apple, and white blossom. Refreshing, intensely juicy, and dry on the palate with a light almond note in the finish.
