Cantine Due Palme Canonico Negroamaro del Salento 2023

The Canonico Negroamaro, with its excellent price-quality ratio, is one of our most successful red wines. This ancient grape, brought to Italy by the Greeks, has now, thanks to modern winemaking techniques, become Puglia's strong suit in the global wine market. Cantine Due Palme harvests the grapes in late September, when they are perfectly ripe. Fermentation then follows, followed by four months of aging in small oak barrels. The result is a sultry, rich-flavored red wine with seductive notes of candied fruit and a hint of oak. Delicious with spicy dishes, but also suitable as a yellow wine outside of the meal, for example, with appetizers.

Drinking at
A wine that perfectly complements hearty dishes, such as spicy stews or grilled meats with a spicy sauce. Also perfect just on its own.

Tasting note
A smooth and soft red wine with notes of candied red fruit. The palate is full, rounded, and aromatic, finishing with a fragrant aftertaste.

Shelf life

Drinkable from one year after harvest and, if desired, can be kept for up to four years after harvest.
