Description

With this brand-new bottling, Sara Román once again proves her expertise as a winemaker. At our request, she created a Verdejo aged on the lees (sobre lías). The result is a real success.

The aging on the yeasts adds extra volume and depth to the wine, without making it heavy. This makes the Sobre Lías more complex, fuller-bodied, and more gourmet than a classic Verdejo, yet more refined and subtle than an oak-aged version.

It combines the intense aroma and fresh fruitiness so typical of Verdejo with a refined smokiness and a hint of toast. Enjoy this luxurious white wine on its own, but also pairs well with a variety of dishes. Think, for example, of grilled tuna with tomatoes, mussels, or a mild vegetable curry. Highly recommended!

Drinking at
A beautiful, crisp, dry white wine perfect for solo or as an aperitif. Delicious with ceviche, fish salad, shrimp and mussel paella, or a mild vegetable curry.

Tasting note
An expressive yet refined white wine with aromas of quince, peach, anise, and flint. A slender style with pure fruit, an invigorating freshness, and a lovely creamy palate. The finish is smooth and lingering.
