Full, round, powerful and smooth
Good companion of beef and veal with refined sauce

Tasting note

French deep red wine from Bordeaux with an aroma of ripe fruit oak and herbs. The taste is full and powerful. When young, this wine goes well with spiced pot roast aged with beef and veal.

Description

Château Gaillard with its vineyard of about 20 hectares has been in the same family since 1787. The vineyard has about 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes. Gaillard château works with respect for nature. This is evident from the fact that no chemicals are used in the vineyard. After fermentation, it is matured in partly new oak casks. The winemaker is Monsieur Nouvel who, incidentally, is assisted by his (in oenology) graduated daughter. She is responsible for investments in modern winemaking equipment made in recent years
