Description

Florent Viale is one of the leading producers in the northern Rhône. Alongside the famous and powerful Hermitage, he makes an accessible and refined red Crozes-Hermitage.

Viale emphasizes the expression of ripe fruit from the Syrah grape so that his wines can also be drunk young. A breath of fresh air in a selection tasting with other producers who try to make their Crozes-Hermitage look like a concentrated Hermitage.

However, the difference in terroir is too great, and the attempts usually result in wine that is too tannic with a drying flavor structure. Beautiful red wine. Viale works organically but is not (yet) certified.
