Tasting note Mas Bres Stella

Elegant dry white wine with a delicate floral and fruity aroma and a mild, balanced flavor. It's a great aperitif and also pairs well with refreshing appetizers, salads, or pasta with fish.

Description

The Mas Brès Blanc is an original white wine made from a unique blend of Rolle (Vermentino) Riesling (40%) and 10% Pinot Gris. The high-altitude vineyards in the Cévennes allow the grapes to ripen for a long time, preserving their freshness and fruity aromas. The production process begins with a rigorous selection of only ripe and healthy grapes. After arriving in the cellar, they undergo a cold maceration process, releasing the delicate, fruity aromas from the grape skins.

The grapes are then pressed and alcoholic fermentation begins. This is followed by several months of aging on the spent yeast cells ("sur lie"), during which winemaker Maurice Barnouin regularly and thoroughly blends the wine and the lees. This technique, called "bâtonnage," produces a rich, full-bodied flavor. The result: an original, distinctive wine of outstanding quality that stands out positively from the dominant Sauvignon and Chardonnay varieties.
