Elegant dry white wine with a fine floral and fruity aroma and a mild balanced taste. Excellent aperitif but also delicious with fresh starters, salads or pasta with fish.

Description

The white Mas Brès is an original white wine made from the special blend of rolle (vermentino) riesling (40%) and 10% pinot gris. The high-altitude vineyards of the Cevennes allow the grapes to mature for a long time, preserving freshness and fruit aromas. The production process starts with a strict selection of only ripe and healthy grapes. After arriving in the wine cellar, they undergo a cold soak that releases the fine and fruity aromas from the grape skins.

The grapes are then pressed and the alcoholic fermentation follows. This is followed by a maturation of several months in the fully developed yeast cells ('sur lie'), during which winemaker Maurice Barnouin regularly mixes the wine and the sediment well. This technique is called 'bâtonnage' and ensures a rich full taste. The result: an original, eye-catching wine of excellent quality that distinguishes itself positively from the dominant presence of Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
