Description
What a magnificent wine from our Greek estate Gaia Wines! The Gaia S is inspired by the success of the high-quality Super Tuscans from Italy, where an indigenous grape is complemented by an international variety.
In this case, Gaia adds approximately 30% Syrah to the local Agiorgitiko. An unusual blend that produces a particularly fine wine.
The grapes are hand-picked in Gaia's high-altitude vineyards in Nemea. After fermentation, the wine ages for approximately twelve months in small French oak barrels. The wine is then bottled unfiltered.
The Gaia S has great concentration, ripe fruit, and a refined, spicy flavor. Drink it with roasted lamb or beef, for example. After decanting briefly, the wine comes into its own even better. An absolute must-try, this Super Nemea!
