|EAN:||Villa Castello Terre di Chieti Sangiovese|
Italian red wine made from sangiovese grapes. The aging in oak gives this wine a spicy aroma and a full juicy taste. Nice to drink or with different starters and main courses.
In addition to the numerous designations of origin with the status DOC (Denominazione de Origine Controllata), there are many regional wines in Italy. In this IGT class (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) the choice of grape varieties for the wineboer is more extensive. The Colline Teatine is actually in the Abruzzo. Only the Montepulciano grape may be used for the red DOC wines. They often taste a bit tannic and rustic. However, this red wine is made entirely from the Sangiovese grape. After the fermentation, a short ripening followed by oak casks. The wonderful ripeness of the Sangiovese grape in the Abruzzo and the oak maturation give a delicious full red wine that is very drinkable thanks to a limited alcohol content.
