White wine from Abruzzo

Good Chardonnay can currently be found all over the world. However, we reserve a special place for Italian productions. The Italian habit of drinking wine almost exclusively with meals ensures that Chardonnay is made while retaining its freshness. A good example is Villa Castello from southern Italy. The Colline Teatine is actually located in Abruzzo. For the white DOC wines, however, only the Trebbiano grape may be used, which in most cases produces a fairly light white wine. The Chardonnay used for Villa Castello is fuller and juicier and has been aged briefly in oak barrels. A fine glass bottled as a regional wine.
