Description

Franciacorta is generally regarded as the pinnacle of sparkling wines in Italy. The wine region is located south of Lake Iseo and near Bergamo in northern Italy. The quality of most of the wines is excellent. Although Franciacorta is primarily sold in Italy, there is also significant demand for producers outside Italy due to its high quality. A good example is Villa, which is considered one of the top producers. This beautiful rosé is made from 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Nero. The vineyards are cultivated entirely organically, and after manual harvesting, the grapes are fermented for the first time. Bottling follows in the spring, with a second fermentation and aging in the bottle for at least 30 months. This ensures complexity and refinement.
