The beautiful and smooth Nostre Païs blends no fewer than five distinctly Southern French grape varieties: Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Syrah. According to owner Michel Gassier, his red wine offers a distinctive expression of terroir thanks to the low yields in the vineyard and the grape's optimal ripeness. Consultant and winemaker Philippe Cambie, nicknamed "the Pope of Châteauneuf" and "Monsieur Grenache," has left his mark on this magnificent Rhône wine.

A small portion of the wine is aged in oak barrels, and the wine is bottled unfiltered. We're not quick to draw comparisons, but we write this with complete conviction: the red Nostre Païs rivals a refined Châteauneuf-du-Pape! In a word: superb. Gassier makes masterful copies for a fraction of the price.

The Nostre Païs vineyard shares several similarities with those of renowned vineyards: the large stones, the grape varieties, and the poor soil. The microclimate differs slightly, with cooler nights, which allows the grapes to retain a little more freshness. Highly recommended!
