Conterno Fantino is one of the modern winemakers who strive for high quality and relatively quick drinking. Traditional Barolo wines sometimes need to age for up to ten years before they are soft enough to drink. The Sori Ginestra vineyard is a prime location. This wine regularly receives high ratings in the international wine press. The highest rating ever was 99 out of 100 points from the renowned American magazine "Wine Spectator." Although Sori Ginestra is a modern Barolo, it requires at least four to five years of aging after harvest. It is best to decant the wine a few hours before serving.
