Tasting note Bolgheri Bianco Achenio

Italian white wine with a powerful refined aroma of ripe fruit and toasted oak. The taste is full and spicy. Very suitable for spicy fish dishes veal or pork.

Description

In 1998, the German Knauf family started to create one of Italy's most distinguished wine regions with the creation of a beautiful wine estate in Bolgheri. The 20 hectares are planted with Bordeaux varieties such as cabernet (sauvignon and franc) merlot and even petit verdot. The sticks are close together (9500 per hectare), which ensures a low yield in the vineyard and a high quality grape. Precisely the absence of the characteristic Tuscan grape sangiovese has made the area around 1965 known. Wine makers wanted to break with the traditional Chianti and Brunello and make a modern international style wine. The high quality was eventually rewarded in 1994 with its own DOC provenance. Campo Alla Sughera is 'on stand' and has famous neighbors with Ornellaia Sassiscaia and Gaja. Campo Alla Sughera makes this white wine from sauvignon vermentino and chardonnay grapes. They are harvested by hand at the end of August and in the early cool morning, and after pressing in oak casks. Here are the two fermentations. The vermentino yeast, however, only once and in addition not on oak but in steel tanks. After a few months both wines will be assembled.
