|EAN:||Domaine Saumaize Saint-Véran Vieilles Vignes En Crêches|
Spicy dry white wine from French Burgundy with an aroma of ripe yellow fruit oak and toast. The powerful fresh taste fits well with fish or poultry in cream sauce.
High quality Burgundy is not exclusively from the Côte dOr with municipalities such as Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Jacques and wife Nathalie Saumaize prove in Saint Véran in the southern part of Burgundy for years against the big established names. One of their most coveted white wines is the small production Saint Véran Vieilles Vignes from the En Crèches vineyard. The beautiful minerality and freshness are accompanied by perfectly ripe chardonnay grapes. The well thought-out and modestly dosed oak ripening is reminiscent of much more expensive local people. This is really great Burgundy but for a fraction of the price of a good Meursault.
