Marco de Grazia and his organic rosé

The Burgundy of the Mediterranean, is how owner Marco de Grazia describes his refined, minerally Sicilian wines, coming from hillside vineyards on the northern flank of the Etna volcano. The height provides cooling and refinement in the wines.

The organic planting and the ambition to make top quality force Marco to achieve low yields so that the native grapes have a beautiful expression. The special rosé is made from the blue-colored nerello mascalese grape from the youngest vines, collected from the entire – thirty hectares – domain.

Due to the coolness at this altitude (600 to 900 meters), the harvest is only in the first week of October. After the harvest, the grapes are lightly pressed, cool fermented and, after a short resting period, bottled.
