A full-bodied red wine from France with ripe fruit and spice notes on the nose and a full, smooth flavor. Delicious with lightly spiced grilled or oven-baked dishes.

Description

Frédéric and Lucile Delay cultivate 15 hectares of vineyards at the foot of Mont Ventoux. They are primarily grown with older vines—up to 50 years old—which produce a variety of wine styles. The Vieilles Vignes cuvée is a selection of the oldest vines of Grenache (80%), Syrah (15%), and Carignan (5%). The yield per vine is low, resulting in grapes with excellent ripeness and concentration. The wine is deliberately not aged in barrels to allow the grape's characteristics to shine. The spicy, spicy character of the Grenache grape is therefore prominent. Compared to the nearby Côtes du Rhône, good Ventoux wines near Mont Ventoux (with its cool downdrafts) are more fragrant and fresher in taste.
