Tasting note

This red wine from Northern Italy is among the top. An intense and complex wine to enjoy outside of the meal. Possibly with a fine ripened cheese.

Description

Brothers Accordini The amarone is made from dried grapes that are only fermented in January. Because the grapes contain a large concentration of flavorings sugars and acids, a very powerful alcohol-rich wine is created.

After fermentation, it ripens for about twenty-four months in small oak casks and another six months in the bottle before the wine is sold. Overpowering wine with a huge taste concentration. Even Italians drink the wine without eating!

Valpolicella a versatile wine region
The same vineyard winemaker and the same terroir and yet five completely different wines. That is the special feature of the Valpolicella area east of Lake Garda in northern Italy. The winemakers family Accordini - with the brothers Tiziano and Daniele at the head - is a model for the classic quality wines from the region. Through the traditional appassiment process, the drying of the grapes makes the wines ripasso paxxo amarone and recioto.
