Description
Adega de Monção is located in the heart of the Vinho Verde region, in the renowned Monção e Melgaço sub-region. The winery here makes this exemplary Vinho Verde from 50% alvarinho and 50% trajadura grapes.
It does this in a modern way, but while retaining characteristic features such as a very slight tingle in the taste. Modern means that every effort is made to preserve the fresh fruit notes of the grapes and to prevent contact with oxygen during vinification. .
The result is a striking, sparkling white wine with a delicious, mildly dry taste. It is perfect as a patio or drinks wine, but also delicious with seafood or pasta with tomatoes. Vinho Verde as it was meant to be!
Drink with
Ideal to drink as a terrace and drinks wine or a stimulating aperitif. Also nice with crustaceans and shellfish, grilled tuna pieces or soft cheeses.
Tasting note
Pale yellow color and slight tingling. Subtle scent of apple, pear, peach and white flowers. The taste is accessible, fruity and refreshing with sufficient depth. Elegant, beautifully dry finish.
Shelf life
At its best until approximately 3 years after harvest date.
