Description
At our request, Arjolle created a new, contemporary version of the once-successful Cuvée de l'Arjolle. This red wine was the estate's flagship in the 1990s but was discontinued in 2005 due to the rise of popular 'mono- and bi-cépages', wines made from one or two grape varieties.
The label of the Cuvée Arjolle never stated which grapes the wine was made from, and this sometimes varied depending on the vintage and the ripeness of the different grapes. The skillful blending, with the constant pursuit of the right proportions between the grapes, has a major influence on the taste and quality of the wine.
François Teisserenc learned this practical skill from father to son and now produces, with the Équilibre Limited Release, a beautiful, full-flavored wine from the most expressive and ripe Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), Merlot (33%), and 22% Syrah. Approximately half of the wine ages for 6 months in small oak barrels and is blended with the portion from tanks.
The result is very convincing, with a luxurious aroma and taste of oak-aged Cabernet, full-bodied, mild Merlot, and spicy, 'warm', Mediterranean Syrah.

Deep red in color and spicy on the nose with mild oak and jammy red fruit. The full flavor starts softly and aromatically and finishes with a mild, fresh aftertaste.
