Information
From artisan family domain Bouard-Bonnefoy
Complex white wine with finesse, tension and depth
Nice with fish, shellfish, poultry or mushrooms

Those who love timeless, classic Burgundy have come to the right place at Bouard-Bonnefoy. This small, artisanal winery harvests such beautiful quality grapes that it has been able to supply Pierre-Yves Colin Morey, one of the absolute icons of Burgundy for many years.

In addition, the family makes a small amount of their own wines out of pure love for the profession. Initially these were only sold locally and to friends, so completely under the radar. After much insistence, we are one of the first export relations to offer a limited edition of their traditional Burgundies.

This beautiful Premier Cru is made from Chardonnay grapes harvested in La Maltroie, right in the village of Chassagne. The vineyard with more than thirty-year-old vines is cultivated in a sustainable way. Fabrice and his daughter Clara harvest by hand. Fermentation takes place with the help of grape yeasts in small oak casks, after which the yeast residues are matured for about a year for extra depth in taste.

The result is Chassagne as Chassagne is intended. Delicate and rich, with notes of ripe citrus fruit, toasty notes and smokiness in the aroma and tension and concentration in the taste. This is a complex white wine with a lot of flavor and a wide range of culinary uses. For example, combine it with lobster, turbot or a creamy dish with poultry or mushrooms.
