Information
From the local kerner grape
Harvested in high altitude vineyards
Wonderfully fragrant and with a full, ripe taste

Description
The unique mountain landscape of Alto Adige is not only breathtakingly beautiful to see, but also a perfect place to produce beautiful, distinctive wines. The members of the Eisacktal cooperative also have generations of experience in the region and know how to grow grapes of optimum quality.

The kerner grape is originally German, but a real specialty of Alto Adige. Given its expressive character, kerner does well in high-altitude vineyards, in the case of Eisacktal up to 900 meters above sea level. Here the kerner can develop perfectly aromatically without compromising on freshness.

In the cellar, the grapes actually need little more. Winemaker Hannes Munter keeps the vinification simple with fermentation in stainless steel tanks and a short maturation on the yeasts in the same tanks.

It produces a beautifully pure, distinctive white wine, with an intense aroma of apple and stone fruit and a wonderfully juicy, ripe and full taste. Delicious on its own, the Kerner is also great with a variety of dishes ranging from seafood pasta to fish and white meats to soft, creamy cheeses.
