Information
From mountain vineyards in Alto Adige
Refreshingly fresh, with a full, juicy taste
Delicious on its own and in combination with many dishes

Description

Kellerei Eisacktal is known for its beautifully pure, elegant white mountain wines from Valle Isarco (Eisacktal) in Alto Adige (South Tyrol). The Pinot Grigio of this cooperative is a particularly successful interpretation of this popular Italian grape.

The grapes are harvested in vineyards at an altitude of about 500 to 700 meters, with clay-like soils. The pinot grigio grapes come into their own in this terroir.

After the grapes have been hand-picked on the steep slopes, they are gently pressed in the cellar by winemaker Hannes Munter. This is followed by fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks to ensure a juicy, fruit-rich wine. After a short maturation on the yeasts, the wine is bottled.

The Pinot Grigio is a beautifully pure, excitingly fresh white wine, with a subtle aroma of peach and green herbs and a full taste with juicy acids and almond in the aftertaste. A delicious wine to drink on its own or to combine with many dishes, such as insalata caprese, risotto primavera or pasta with smoked chicken.
