Kutch Wines
Jamie Kutch is a 46-year-old former Wall Street stockbroker who, after the events of 9/11, made a career switch from wine enthusiast to winemaker. He pressed his first grapes in 2005. Annual production now stands at approximately 36,000 bottles. Kutch has no intention of expanding further, as a perfectionist par excellence, he wants to (continue to) manage everything himself.
Pinot Noir with the allure of Burgundy
An accessible Pinot Noir with a restrained aroma, yet a lovely juiciness on the palate, and ripe red fruit expression, a fresh undertone, and excellent length. Production runs to 9,600 bottles. The grapes come from a vineyard with 35-year-old vines, approximately 7 km from the ocean.
