A delicious Bierzo
Beautiful, light yellow color with classic and refined aromas of ripe white fruit with subtle oak nuances. The taste is almost Bourgogne-like, mild and full and in nice balance with the beautiful acids that are characteristic of great wines. The aftertaste is refined and long lasting. Gastronomically good.

La del Vivo is one of the prettiest Godellos on the market in our opinion. Complex, refined, classic and almost Burgundy-like in taste.
Legendary winemaker Raúl Pérez makes it in a limited edition (less than 5000 bottles a year) from vineyards in the town of Lomas de Valtuille, in Bierzo in northern Spain. The climate in this area, with mild temperatures and sufficient moisture, is very similar to that of neighboring, cool Galicia, but is slightly drier.
After fermentation, the Godello matures for about twelve months in 500 liter used oak barrels and part of the harvest is even made in amphorae. The aging in used wooden barrels ensures a nice, even evolution of the aromas and taste and is secondary to the grape and terroir expression.
La del Vivo is a new generation of high quality Spanish wine and highly sought after in the top Spanish catering industry for its gastronomic uses. Decanting is recommended.
