Description

At the Seghesio family, they don't really care about marketing. Riccardo and cousins Marco, Michela and Sandro would much rather spend their time at their beautiful estate and truly amazing vineyard, called La Villa. This vineyard covers four hectares and consists of several plots. The oldest plantation dates back to 1957. The Seghesio family makes fantastic wines, which are hardly discovered and are therefore still very affordable.

This Barolo is the prestige wine of the family domain and is made from nebbiolo grapes from the oldest sticks from the cru La Villa. Once harvested, spontaneous fermentation and a few days of skin soaking follow. Subsequently, the wine first matures for 24 months in small and large French oak barrels, and then matures in the bottle for another year.

A real godsend if you ask us, especially when you take into account the storage potential of this classic Barolo. The La Villa is best drunk between four and ten years after the harvest. Preferably drink it with a hearty, spicy meat meal or matured hard cheeses.
