Description
The Old Brick Factory Syrah is an impressive, full and silky red Syrah with nine months of aging in new French oak casks. This is a special red wine made from grapes from 30-year-old syrah sticks in a plot at an altitude of about 800 meters. A brick factory used to be on this piece of vineyard; the remains are still clearly present.
The grapes are not picked until mid-October, exceptionally late for this southern Spanish region. They are therefore given plenty of time to ripen perfectly, resulting in creamy tannins. The characteristic, spicy scent of ripe syrah grapes in combination with the barrel aging is very seductive. Due to the full, smooth taste, this Syrah is very suitable outside meals. It also pairs wonderfully with grilled and seasoned meat from the barbecue or a cheese board and baguette.
