Description
Riedel's Veloce series is a masterpiece of technology. The lenses are machine-made, yet feel as if they were hand-blown. Feather-light and wafer-thin, they fit comfortably in your hand, and you'll barely feel them when you put them to your lips.
Riedel designed the Veloce Champagne glass to best showcase the complex character of this luxurious and delicate sparkling wine. The bowl of the glass is not narrow and straight, like a flute, but oval. This allows the layered aromas of Champagne to fully unfold.
The glass also features a bubble point at the bottom, a slightly roughened point in the glass, which ensures a beautiful, constant stream of delicate bubbles.
Riedel has also developed a new feature for this series: the type of wine the glass is designed for is indicated on the stem. This way, you can see at a glance which glass you should use for which purpose.
And the name Veloce? It refers to the newly developed technology that now allows machines to virtually imitate artisanal glassblowing. A good thing, because it makes the production process much more efficient.
