Description

Niki Moser is the seasoned winemaker in Rohrendorf who converted to biodynamic viticulture a few years ago. The Riesling Von den Terrassen is a prime example of his expertise. This vintage was picked around October 20th, over a month later than usual. The major advantage of this is that the wine exudes freshness and, as Niki puts it, "Lebendigkeit."

A purebred Riesling with a modest alcohol content, fermented in stainless steel tanks using only the natural yeast cells from the vineyard. This results in notes of ripe Riesling fruit, rather than primary candy aromas. Although ready to drink now, this wine is also very suitable for aging.

Niki Moser is among the top performers in Austrian winemaking. His distinctive commitment to biodynamic viticulture has allowed him to distinguish his powerful and concentrated wines from those of other winemakers. A key characteristic is that Niki Moser's wines only truly express themselves after several months of bottle aging. In his wines, you won't find candy aromas, but rather the aromas of ripe, concentrated grapes. He even recommends decanting his white wines, a practice increasingly adopted by sommeliers to significantly enhance the wine's aromas. This Riesling is made from terraced vineyards. The location is perfect, helping the grapes reach optimal ripeness.
