Description
Markus Huber owns approximately 25 hectares of vineyards in prime locations in the Traisental Valley and is now a member of Austria's premier league. Traisental is known for its highly calcareous soil. In addition to Grüner Veltliner, Huber also cultivates the Riesling grape. The climate of Traisental, with its cool nights and warm days, is reminiscent of Burgundy, which lies at the same latitude. Combined with the calcareous soil, Markus Huber produces a varietal and refined Riesling that is fermented and aged exclusively in stainless steel tanks. The name "Terrassen" refers to the vineyard plots planted in terraces on the steep hillsides.
