Villa Franciacorta Bokè Rosé Brut

Description

Franciacorta is generally considered Italy's top sparkling wine region. The wine region lies south of Lake Iseo and near Bergamo in northern Italy. The quality of most wines is excellent. Although Franciacorta is primarily sold within Italy, its high quality also attracts high demand from producers outside Italy. A prime example is Villa, considered one of the top producers. This beautiful rosé is made from 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Nero. The vineyards are farmed entirely organically, and after hand-harvesting, the grapes undergo their first fermentation. Bottling follows in the spring, with a second fermentation and aging in the bottle for at least 30 months. This creates complexity and refinement.
