Description

The quality of wines from Apulia in southern Italy is improving rapidly, but its recognition as a fine wine region in Italy itself is slowing. This is due to the prejudice many northern Italians have regarding the perceived low quality of all southern Italian products. Fortunately, wine lovers across the border see this differently. This explains why bottled Apulian wine is particularly successful in exports, as it is with leading producer Cantine due Palme.

Director and head winemaker Angelo Maci, a native Pugliese, is an enthusiastic champion of indigenous grape varieties like the ancient Primitivo: a reliable and classic grape of the south. Angelo Maci creates a beautiful red wine from it, aged for six months in small oak barrels.
