Barbera d'Alba Pelisa
Italian red wine with a fruity, spicy aroma and nuances of ripe red fruit and a hint of vanilla. The flavor is balanced and aromatic. Delicious with grilled dishes or, for example, roasted sausage.
Roero Arneis from Canale
Francesco Carbone's vineyards are located in the heart of the Roero region around the town of Canale. This wine region, with its sandy and chalky soil, is best known for its excellent white Roero, made from the Arneis grape, and its red Roero, made from the Nebbiolo grape. The latter produces a more accessible and rounder wine in this region than Barolo, the famous wine region bordering the Roero. Francesco also makes a delicious red wine from Barbera, the most widely planted grape in Piedmont. Only a small portion of the harvest (30%) is aged in oak barrels, as Francesco's primary goal is to produce an elegant and supple wine while preserving the beautiful aromas of the Barbera grape.
