Description

Bodegas Falernia belongs to the Italians Aldo Olivier and Giorgio Flessati. They produce flawless wines in Chile's northernmost wine region. The Pedriscal Carmenère is Falernia's finest red wine made from this grape variety. The late, very ripe grapes come from the Pedriscal vineyard and are rigorously selected even during the hand-picking process. After arriving in the cellar, a classic vinification process follows, with primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks and secondary fermentation in mostly new oak barrels. After this, the wine is aged, as is customary with great wines, for a good 12 months. After bottling, the bottles are left to rest for at least another year. The Pedriscal was selected as the best Carmenère at the 12th Wines of Chile Awards.
