What an impressively flavorful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah! François Teisserenc, winemaker at Domaine de l'Arjolle, combines the ripeness of the grapes with a modified vinification technique, which extracts fewer, yet ripe and soft, tannins.

The wine is also aged partly in oak and partly in concrete tanks, which are increasingly preferred over stainless steel. If you sometimes find red Bordeaux a bit harsh and drying, try this full, smooth blend of Cabernet and Syrah with its beautiful, deep red color.

The quality is exceptionally high for a modest price. Arjolle convincingly demonstrates that the Languedoc can excel in producing luxurious red wines with beautifully ripe flavors. Very tempting.
