Red crowd-pleaser from the Abruzzo

Italian red wine made from Sangiovese grapes. Aging in oak gives this wine a spicy aroma and a full, juicy flavor. Delicious to drink on its own or with various appetizers and main courses.

100% Sangiovese

In addition to the numerous appellations with DOC (Denominazione de Origine Controllata) status, many regional wines can be found in Italy. In this IGT class (Indicazione Geografica Tipica), the choice of grape varieties is more extensive for the winemaker. The Colline Teatine is actually located in the Abruzzo region. For red DOC wines, only the Montepulciano grape may be used. They often have a somewhat tannic and rustic taste. This red wine, however, is made entirely from the Sangiovese grape. After fermentation, a short period of aging in oak barrels followed. The beautiful ripeness of the Sangiovese grape in the Abruzzo region and the oak aging result in a delicious, full-bodied red wine that is very drinkable thanks to its limited alcohol content.
