Cabernet Sauvignon full but refined
Deep red in color and spicy on the aroma with ripe fruit notes, a refined spiciness, and light oak. A delicious wine with spicy stews or grilled meats.
Bolgheri Superiore DOC
In 1998, the German Knauf family began creating a magnificent wine estate in Bolgheri, now one of Italy's leading wine regions. The twenty hectares are planted with Bordeaux varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and even Petit Verdot.
The vines are planted close together (9,500 per hectare). This results in a low yield in the vineyard, with high-quality grapes. It is precisely because of the absence of the characteristic Tuscan Sangiovese grape that this region has become increasingly famous since the 1960s. Winemakers wanted to break away from the traditional Chianti and Brunello grapes and create a modern, international wine style.
The high quality was finally rewarded in 1994 with its own DOC designation of origin. Campo alla Sughera is situated in a prestigious area and boasts renowned neighbors like Ornellaia Sassicaia and Ca' Marcanda de Gaja.
The beautifully smooth and accessible Adèo from Campo alla Sughera, with soft and ripe tannins, is made from hand-picked Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. After fermentation, it is aged for twelve months in new, mostly second-year French oak barrels, resulting in a refined aroma and flavor.
