When Giovanni (John Sr.) Pedroncelli started his wine business in 1927 with the purchase of vineyards, there were already 25-year-old Zinfandel vines standing there. Since then, new cuttings from these vines, the Mother Clone, have been used for further planting. These vines, now nearly 110 years old, still ensure reproduction, but they also continue to contribute to the Zinfandel blend!

The result is a complex, spicy, full-bodied oak-aged wine with great length and structure. The Pedroncelli family works traditionally and picks the grapes by hand. Furthermore, the wine stabilizes naturally during the fifteen months of barrel aging. Californian wines are often grossly underestimated in terms of quality, but you absolutely must taste this amazing value for money!
