Ripe apples and flowers from Di Lenardo

A beautiful Italian rosé with aromas of ripe apple and flowers. Deliciously soft and supple. Perfect with pasta and fish, mushrooms, or lamb.

Massimo with his Rosé

Massimo di Lenardo makes fine wines near the northern Italian city of Udine. Ramato means "coppery," and the description refers to the wine's color. The skins of the Pinot Grigio grape give the wine its color because the grapes macerate with the juice for about eighteen hours. This contrasts with direct-pressed Pinot Grigio grapes, which produce a white wine. After fermentation, this Gossip remains in tank on the lees for a few months; the wine is filtered just before bottling. The result: a unique, light-pink Pinot Grigio.
